Oceanside, CA – A new era for healthcare in North County officially began on July 16, 2026, as Sharp HealthCare formally assumed operational control of Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside. The facility has been rebranded as Sharp Tri-City Medical Center, marking the launch of a 30-year public–nonprofit partnership that local leaders anticipate will stabilize the region’s only public hospital and significantly reshape health care access for residents across Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, and surrou
